The occurance of a miscarriage, ovulation irregularaty may also be a problem and if vaginosis and infections are present, cryosurgery is sometimes performed to remove symptoms. Normally, there is nothing a woman can do to prevent the spontaneous loss of her pregnancy. More often than not, it happens only due to bad luck. About 15 percent to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriages. Most of these cases occur before 16 weeks of pregnancy. In most cases, the fetus dies days or weeks before the symptoms started.
